Why can't all apps be transferred to the SD card. Some apps move back to the phone off the SD card so I have to continue to move the apps to the SD card.

Taking out the battery and pressing the on/off button for 1/2 minute works but still you gotta turn it off and on sometimes like 50 times for it to finally turn on.

I found a better way to heal your (my) Galaxy. Put it in a window, open to expose the screen to sunlight. It seems the screen is susceptible to solar energy (like a solar calculator ).

It will get better and better as you do this and turns on right away if the phone is getting sunlight on the screen.

My wife's first three S5's had suffered black screen. It seemed to be fully functional except for the black screen. Calls arrive. Touchscreen seems to respond, etc. The memory card, removing battery, etc. tricks did not work. AT&T replaced each under warranty. The third one happened, fortunately, 2 weeks before the warranty expired. The last replacement is still running after about 4 years. I think this is a hardware defect that Samsung hasn't owned up to. But now, no one will care. One will just replace one's phone.

OMG, this worked on a Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini. To see the connector area where you need to press, see the YouTube video "How to repair broken S5 mini LCD screen" at timestamp 2:18. (It's above the power button, overlapping a bit, pretty close to the edge.) After removing only the protective cover, I massaged the area on the back firmly while holding the phone. First, you could try it flat on a table, screen down, for lower risk, but the back plastic is not flexible, so I suspect it's pressing the screen that actually does the trick.
